►To provide tutoring for school-age children
►To foster academic success
►To enable students to experience encouragement and unconditional positive regard
 

Student Guidelines

►Please be on time! The church doors will open 15 minutes before tutoring sessions begin. Doors will be closed and locked 15 minutes after scheduled start time.

►Come prepared to study! Students who need extra help in academic areas should have their study materials with them.  Text books, homework assignments, reading material, and test study materials are just a few suggestions for things to bring.  Students who come without study materials will be asked to come back the following week when they are prepared for their tutoring session.
 
►Show respect to everyone! Make sure you use good manners toward all volunteer tutors and fellow students.  This will help create an atmosphere for learning and fun.
 
►Follow all directions carefully. We want everyone to enjoy their time at tutoring!
 

Volunteer Guidelines

►Please be on time! Students will be given a quick snack  or light meal and beverage within the first half hour of our scheduled time together.  

►Come prepared to study! Students may need help with math, reading, study skills, language arts, you name it!  You may have an area of expertise to share.  Please be prepared to stay until the session is over.  One full hour of tutoring will be available for those students who participate.
 
►Show respect to everyone! The goal is unconditional positive regard.
But the aim of such instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith.

►Make sure participants follow all directions carefully. Students should be supervised and monitored at all times.
