The end of the school year is approaching and we have seniors in our Youth Group who will be graduating and heading off to college. You have a great opportunity to bless them as they prepare for this departure. You will notice bin’s in back. Please consider buying something to put in that would be useful for them as they move out on their own (coat hangers, laundry detergent, an iron, extension cord, etc...). This will not only be a tangible blessing but also a spiritual blessing.
On June 2, following the 10:30 service, we will be hosting Ms. Susie Wallace of Jubilee Shores United Methodist Church. Susie has been instrumental in starting a successful Community Garden at JSUMC and she is coming to share her experiences and talk to us about the possibility and feasibility of starting a Community Garden at Christ Church. The meeting is open to all who are interested in pursuing this idea and are willing to do the work to get it done. Please bring a Brown Bag lunch and we will supply tea and water. Dear Real Women and treasured friends of Christ Church,
A little change can make a BIG difference. This year, again, Christ Church will be participating in Sav-A-Life’s fund raiser known as “Baby Bottle Boomerang”. There will be empty bottles available for pick up beginning Mother’s Day, Sunday May 12. Please pick up a bottle and fill it with coins, bills, and checks. We ask they be returned by Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16. Your gifts will help those who are served by this vital, life giving ministry.
